Alton Brown in Training?

For those who know me, you know my fondness for Food Network and it's wide array of entertaining cooking stars; one of which is Alton Brown. He knows all and I mean all about the science of food. What makes yeast work, how beef is braised, and how to construct molecules out of balloons. But anyway, one of his no clutter in the the kitchen policies is to not have "one purpose" gadgets. That means say goodbye to tortilla warmers and panini makers!

Well my son makes me proud!

Because also if you know me, you know I hate clutter and extra useless, or occasionally used items. This is why Harrison has very little of all the recommended baby apparatus around our house- they only serve one use. They entertain a baby, what 10-15 minutes and then they are bored?

My exception to the rule of multi-purpose apparatus is the Johnny-Jump-Up. But my creative and wonderful son made this once one-way-only toy into a new overhead toy! Now it is multi-purpose and entertains a fast paced baby double the time! Perhaps I have a creative engineer in the making or maybe he hears way too much Alton Brown?
