White Rain

Harrison learned a new sign this weekend- the ASL sign for snow. Literally translated it is "white rain". He has been looking out the window and signing "white rain", longing to go outside. We are pleasantly surprised since the last snow fall was not a hit with our boy. He has loved the snow this time around grabbing mitten fulls to munch on, talking to it, trying to escape outside every time the front door opens, etc. Today he insisted walking in it wriggling to get free of our arms. Our little manly man had to conquer the powder on his own-and that he did! What a little man!
(Due to my technical difficulties I cannot flip the videos, so you get to watch Harrison sideways-but he's still pretty cute!)

Sharing

Mommy and Daddy are teaching me how to share... ...I'm pretty good at it-I love to share my food especially......I mean who wouldn't want a slobbery pre-tasted cookie?...
...Do you want some? I'll share my cookie with you... ...Are you sure you don't want some? I mean that is fine with me... ...All the more for me to enjoy... ...I can only share for so long until I just have to eat it myself!

That's How I Ride

Ok you guys, I wanted to tell you about the cool thing I get to sit in at the store, but mom insisted on taking pictures of me in it, in public! I mean, here we are in the grocery store with all these people looking at me and talking, and mom whips out her camera, in front of everybody! So I got a bad attitude and refused to look at the camera. "Maybe she will put it away if I don't look," I thought, oh but no... Ok, ok, we'll get a few good mood shots for time sake. This is my seat cover and it's awesome! I don't have to sit on the hard plastic seat or get my legs pinched in the metal or any of that...
plus it has a cushion so I don't get so tired of sitting. The most important feature? The all important loop for attaching toys for me to play with and a little place for mom to keep snacks! These are crucial for a happy shopping experience! Mom has other reasons she likes it, something about me not being able to chew all over the handle and side bars and getting germs, I don't know about that. I have a theory that you should taste and chew on everything before forming an opinion... But this is the way I ride!

Who's Your Daddy?

Harrison is very observant. After observing his mommy (me), call his Daddy (Matt), by his name, he too calls his Daddy, Matt. Well, it's more of a "Mack", but still very cute. I've tried to start calling Matt "Daddy" every time Harrison is around-"Hi Daddy", "We love you Daddy", "Here comes Daddy", etc. To no avail-Harrison looks at me like I am nuts. I can just read his thoughts, "Mom, you got his name wrong again, it's Matt!" He then proceeds to correct me by saying, "Matt!" In this video Harrison was not happy with me at the moment and wanted his Daddy who was at work. He kept whining for "Mack(Matt)".

Hide It In Your Heart

Proverbs 4:23-26 "Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life."
"Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put devious lips far from you,"
"Let your eyes look directly ahead, and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you."
"Watch the paths of your feet, And all your ways will be established."

Bath Bubby

How to make Harrison very happy? Just add water...

I love bath time! Look at my cool duck Daddy bought me!

It's really tasty! Do you want some? Splashing is my favorite! I laugh when it hits me in the face! See? I can make waves! But bath time also makes me very sleepy! Goodnight duck!
I like getting all wrapped up in my warm towel.
Yeah, this is the life!

Smelling Coffee

Wakin' to the smell of coffee is what it's all about...
Fuzzy morning black and white, get that coffee out...
That java really gets you goin' and turns on the day...Waking to the smell of coffee is the only way...
I highly recommend it, here I'll share my cup 'o Joe...
Bottoms up is my advice, and take a travel mug to go... My favorite part of coffee is the way it perks you up... Breaking out in my coffee dance, cup after cup!
Yeah Baby-break it down!
(Disclaimer-NO, we do not give Harrison any coffee, ever. He was playing with an empty mug, but got so excited he might as well have had a pint of caffeine-oh wait, he always seems like he's had a pint of caffeine!)

Throwback Thursday

Celebrating our past and blessings along the way!
Join us for Throwback Thursday! Ok so this post tributes those bad pictures, you know, the ones you have no preparation for. Someone just whips our their camera or phone and snaps before you have a clue. Sometimes the picture turns out ok, much to our relief, and other times you run after the photographer begging them to delete it. Most of the time you can't react to surprise pictures until after the shutter snaps. By then your image, embarrassing or not is captured. Harrison, you reputation works just like this.
You are leaving snapshots of your image to everyone you meet. Sometimes you have time to prepare for the image, but for the most part your day is full of people getting a raw image of you. What does your character portray? Does your integrity shine through in that instant shutter snap? Do you leave a print of Christ in your life? It's ok to not have a model smile or designer outfit, but make sure your heart is always picture perfect.

Hide it in Your Heart

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinner,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers,

But his delight is in the law of the Lord,

And in His law he meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in season and its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

Psalm 1:1-3

Waiting Room

Waiting rooms are a parent's best friend. We had no choice but to find ourselves in one for quite awhile.I was a little worried how this guy would do, but he had a blast and found his own entertainment. Let him show you... ...First I surveyed the territory... ...then wrestled Dad for a bit...
...then more exploring before insisting on introducing myself to each and every person in the waiting room...
...a few of my favorite toys somehow ended up in the waiting room!
Overall, this waiting room stuff wasn't so bad, for me or Mom and Dad!

Throwback Thursday

Celebrating our past and blessings along the way.
Join us for Throwback Thursday! I bet you don't know many people who have hidden apple juggling talents... ...I bet you don't know many people who travel so sleep deprived that juggling apples becomes grand entertainment... ...and I certainly bet you don't know too many people who pose for pictures in front of their hotel mirror before hitting the road again...
...I wouldn't have it any other way...
I love our road trips and I look forward to many more!
