Nine Months

As your Daddy said this morning, you are 3/4 of a year old! I look at your babiness disappearing into a little boy and wonder where the time has gone! You are trying your best to close the gap between you and your brother.Nine months ago today you were snuggled in a blanket, sleeping the hours away and not doing much but hollering out occasionally. Today you are crazy busy and always have something on your mind to share. You "talk" a lot and usually, very loudly. You are in size 3 diapers, but only until this pack runs out, then we are moving you up. You are in 12-18 month clothes. You say Da-da, hi, and light. You can sign more please, all done, bath, and light. You've made your own sign for me which is kinda cute. You love to clap and cheer, particularly if it's something you've done. You love to sing along with music, especially when Harrison is singing. You still have just the bottom two teeth, but there are four currently working in on the top...this has not been a fun milestone for you.You are so incredibly mischievous in a very sneaky way. You wait until we leave the room to try and push your brother's buttons. You are into everything and you love making messes...the bigger they are, the prouder you are.You are on the move now with a very fine tuned army crawl and you get anywhere you want to be...fast! You may just set some record with the speed at which you can cross a room to get into something you shouldn't. You hate hearing "no". You bury your face in your arm and pout when we have to tell you "no".You have always been a god eater, but now I'm starting to understand our grocery budget will need an overhaul. You eat your baby food, but you would rather eat whatever we are eating. You know the difference. Your favorites are mac 'n cheese, blueberries, peaches, peas, spaghetti, pancakes, and oatmeal. You love anything you can feed yourself really.Your smile is infectious and you always have a way of making us feel so loved. I can never get enough of your hugs and kisses and cuddles. You still love to snuggle up under our chins and lay your head against our chests. We love you so much and are very proud of the little man you are becoming.

  1. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of these two dudes, but let me tell you there was something about those pics that made this aunt all swollen up with pride! Seriously, that little man is awesome! I just love him and I am so thankful for his 9 months!
