'Twas the Day Before Christmas
Twas the day before Christmas and all through our house
Harrison was stirring, (our house has no mouse)
Our stockings all hung on the banister with carein hopes that Harrison can’t reach them there. And mama was baking Christmas cookies and treats
And Daddy was busy stuffing stockings with sweets
When all of a sudden there arose such a thought,
That there’s part of this eve that should not be forgot,
For Harrison’s wondering heart to be taught,
About Jesus, His birth, His death on the cross,And we told him how Jesus was born in a manger
How He healed the sick and welcomed in strangers,
His eyes how they loved, His hands always gave,
He washed away our sin, and conquered the grave,
We told him how Jesus wants to be Lord of his life,
He loved us so much he was born that cold night,
And angels announced his glorious birth,
To shepherds who rejoiced to Peace on Earth,And Harrison you’ll hear this all through the year,
Because it’s not just at Christmas that Christ should appear,
But that’s why we celebrate with gifts, trees, and lights,
And say Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
We are so proud of you all and the way you are raising Harrison! Thank you for this post! It brought tears to my eyes! We love all 3 of you! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading Harrison's version of the Chrismtas Story. As you said, our belief in Jesus isn't just for one day a year. Thanks so much for sharing your little family's first Chrismtas with us. We look forward to seeing ALL of you this weekend.
ReplyDeleteLots of love,
