Growing Baby!

I can't believe I am already half way through week 14, time is going by quickly! Even more amazing is the way our little baby is being knit together more day by day. God's creation blows Matt and I away each week as we read about what is going on in secret inside me. Our baby has fingernails, fingerprints, perfect toes, can stick its tongue out and suck its thumb! Our baby can respond to outside stimulus by kicking back if we poke on my tummy! The coolest thing by far this week is the strange little tickling feeling I have every now and then! I cannot say I have felt any outright kicks, but when I am still after dinner especially or Matt is playing with my tummy I can feel these slight tickling flutters inside my tummy. It is so amazing!

We had a great time visiting with family this past week. It was much needed and we really enjoyed ourselves! We went to the fair and enjoyed the sights and sounds. I made homemade bread with my sisters, and just spent time catching up with everyone. One day we went to one of my favorite area parks. Thanks to my very creative sister she took this picture to document Baby's first park outing and our first family picture! :)

Our next midwife visit is in two weeks, I am very excited. I can't wait to hear our baby's heartbeat again. Also, at this visit we will hopefully be scheduling the appointment for the ultrasound to find out what we are having! We cannot wait! Neither can our families! We are all ready to know whether to be thinking pink or blue and Matt and I are ready to start calling this baby by name!

  1. I can't wait!!!! I'm so very tired of referring to the little dear as "it."

  2. For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;your works are wonderful,I know that full well.
    My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place.When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,your eyes saw my unformed body.All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.How precious to [a] me are your thoughts, O God!How vast is the sum of them!

    What a wonderful miracle is taking place! We are thrilled to be witnesses to it!
    We love you three!
