Annual Birthday Interview: Ninth Edition

What's your favorite color: yellow and blue

What's your favorite thing to play: Avengers Wii game and Legos

What's your favorite movie: Avengers, Star Wars, that's all; and maybe Transformers. But everything else is too complicated to talk about it. (What?!)

What's your favorite thing to eat for lunch: rice with soy sauce on it

What's your favorite thing to wear: athletic pants with my hoodie

What's your favorite thing to play outside: Basketball, ride my bike, archery, and football

What's your favorite holiday: Christmas and my birthday

Who's your best friend: my family, my brothers

What's your favorite thing to sleep with: my airplane 

What's your favorite thing to eat for breakfast: Breakfast sandwiches, fried eggs, and cinnamon pop tarts 

What's your birthday dinner meal: Steak, salmon, rice, and salt and vinegar chips! 

What do you want to be when you grow up: I want to invent stuff that helps people, like machines like Tony Stark did and then maybe even a real Iron Man suit to save people.

What's your favorite TV show: Mom, you so know this one, Star Wars Rebels

What's your favorite fruit: Peaches

What's your favorite song: Toby Mac and the Avengers Theme song and the Star Wars sound track

What's your favorite animal: Sharks!

What's your favorite drink: Kombucha, gatorade, chocolate milk, sweet tea...uh I like a lot of things huh?!

What's your favorite book: Star Wars look up book (dictionary)

What's your favorite special treat: Brownies, your kind of ones mom, they're the best!

What's your favorite Bible verse: Leviticus 26:6

Harrison, happy birthday my sweet man. You are feisty, strong willed, passionate, bold, adventurous, courageous, polite, handsome, and protective. These traits God wove into your being have already enabled you to lead expeditions, defend younger siblings from playground bullies, and witness to other kids about God's free gift of salvation. 

You love coming up with new ideas and inventions, you love wrestling brothers, and you love man meat (steak). You like to write and create new ideas for movies, tv shows, and comic books. You like history and reading. My favorites are when you laugh so hard your eyes almost disappear, when you stand up for your family, your faith, and what you believe in no matter what, when you serve others in secret, and when you wrap your arms around me for no reason other than just to tell me you love me. 

Harrison, this birthday has me pondering your life in a different way than I had before. You see this year, year 9, kinda marks a halfway point. Halfway to 18. We are now halfway to when you more than likely will be leaving for college, a job, the mission field, or whatever God calls you to, but you will be 18, an adult. Our years with you as our "child" are halfway in and it's stirring up lots of different emotions in my momma heart. But I cherish the fact that for the first nine years we've grown together as momma and man. You've taught me so much and I don't know if you'll ever know how much God has and is using you to grow me! 

With a rich and blessed first nine years of your life to be cherished your Daddy and I visibly see God's fingerprints on you and his molding your heart. You are growing everyday and I so admire the way you desire to allow God to work in your life. You truly are a warrior for Christ with the way you handle both setbacks and victories. All of the character, qualities, and quirks that make you you, make me love you deeper still with every passing day. I respect you and the man you are choosing to become as your grow in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man! I love you Harrison! Happy 9th birthday!
